Fakes, Counterfeits and Bootlegs
on Rolling Stones Records

In any collecting hobby their are always counterfeits even collecting records. Without the
right knowledge and resources it's very easy to be fooled. London's PS "The Last Time" B/W
"Play With Fire" can be found as a photocopy counterfeit. Their also may be other early
London picture sleeves that have been copied. Some bootlegs are also made to look like
record label promo's like the "Brown Sugar" 12" or "Cops & Robbers" 12". Some can look very
close to the original like the "Hot Stuff" 12 inch promo. Rolling Stones Records are a easy
target for fakes. Keith Richards PS "Before They make Me Run" promo has also been copied.
If you can't see Keith's pupil you got your self a fake. Some of these records have become
quite collectable.
